1. Prerequisites
- International H30-U10 variant of Honor 3C
- Full dump/backup of current system created using MTKdroid Tools
- Stock Android 4.2.x Jelly Bean firmware
- A USB cable and latest MTK drivers installed on PC (Download this & this)
Procedure
Install the required MTK USB drivers you downloaded earlier.
Download SP Flash Tool.zip on your PC and extract its contents.
Next, download “Honor3CBootUnlock.zip” on the computer and unzip it too.
- Execute “FlashTool.exe” on the PC.
- Click “Scatter-loading” and select “MT6582_Android_scatter” file placed inside “Honor3CBootUnlock” folder.
- After that, click Window menu and check “Write Memory”. A new tab named Write Memory should appear.
- In Write Memory tab, click Open Raw Data and select “preloader_huawei82_wet_jb5.bin”.
- Set Memory Setting to “EMMC”, Beginning Address to “0x800” and Container Length to “0x1B0EC”. Finally click Write Memory button.
- Go to Download tab and press the “Download” button. Make sure you’ve disconnected the USB cable. Check “DA DL All With Check Sum” option
- A Download Warning message should pop up, click “Yes”.
- Reconnect
your phone in Meta mode by connecting it to the PC via USB cable
and powering it on without its battery inserted. Wait for a few minutes
until it gets completed.
- Extract the contents of “ROM_H30-U10_V100R001C900B108.zip” package you downloaded.
- Open FlashTool.exe app placed in the SP Flash Tool folder you downloaded earlier.
- Click Scatter-loading button and choose “MT6582_Android_scatter.txt” file located inside the extracted B108 folder.
- Make sure twice that all the entries are checked.
- Turn your phone off and remove its battery (you can keep it inserted if it doesn’t work without the battery).
- Click “Firmware ->Upgrade” and connect the phone to the computer over a USB connection. SP Flash Tool will automatically detect your phone and start flashing (you may press the Power button in case it doesn’t detect the phone).
- Upon completion a green circle should pop up on the screen.
- Disconnect the USB cable and boot your phone normally.
- In case a problem occurs, reboot into recovery mode by holding Vol up + Power button. Once you’re in the recovery mode, navigate using volume and power buttons.
Select “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” option, perform the cleanup and then reboot your device.

How to root Huawei H30-U10
- Download required files from above links and flash CWM or TWRP recovery with MTK Recovery FlashTool by selecting Scatter file
- Flash superuser.zip from CWM or TWRP recovery and restart your phone to normal mode
- Install Chamelephon.apk in the phone and start it
- Fill both IMEI values and Apply new IMEIs and restart your phone.
